Dec.14 — Recently, Deputy Commissioner of the State Intellectual Property Office of the P.R.C (SIPO) Gan Shaoning led a delegation to visit the Hungarian Intellectual Property Office (HIPO) and attended related activities on the First DesignEuropa Awards held in Milan, Italy.
During his talks with Mr. Szabolcs Farkas, Vice-President of the HIPO, Gan Shaoning pointed out that China and Hungary have achieved all-round development in their relationship. Hungary, as an important country along the “Belt and Road” route, has attracted wide attentions from Chinese enterprises. In recent period, the two sides have established a stable relationship, conducted high-level exchanges frequently, and have signed Patent Prosecution Highway (PPH) agreement and the Memorandum of Understanding. Gan Shaoning and Szabolcs Farkas later exchanged in-depth views on the latest progress, development plan, intellectual property (IP) service and budget and financial plan of the two offices. During his stay in Hungary, Gan Shaoning also visited the Hungarian Industrial Property and Copyright Association (MIE) and exchanged views with the other party on IP-related topics.
Gan Shaoning and the delegation later attended the First DesignEuropa Awards held in Milan, Italy. First organized in 2016 by the European Union Intellectual Property Office (EUPIO), the DesignEuropa Awards aims to praise and honor Registered Community Design (RCD) holders in the EU for their excellent contribution to design and design management.
